If you take headers from a 1979 Cordoba, will they fit on a 1980? Both are 2 door, 318, auto trannies? Is there a big difference between the two years? Thanks.

Yes, there is a difference between the cars.The 79 is a B-body car,and the 80 is a J-body.The J-body cars are in the same family as the F and M bodies,which are 5th ave,Diplomat,Volare,Aspen,and Mirada.To answer your question,I doubt if they'll fit.

I would bet that they WOULD fit. The place to check is with the catalogue of the header manufacturer and see if other body lines are listed. It costs lots of engineering money to have a style of header that only covers one body line.
The other reason is that when you look in the Mopar Performance catalogue they list only one type of header for street small block cars. It covers ALL B, E, A, F, and J bodies. |
