Thumbs up New Mopar Mag

Hi all, I just thought I would let everyone know of a new magazine about to be released in Australia.

The Magazine is "Slick 6 Packs"

It is a magazine be produced by two genuine Chrysler enthusiasts, one of whom is me! We live and breathe Chryslers, and the magazine is going to be for all types of Chryslers in Australia. From the earliest Dodge to the latest Chrysler, we will be covering them all.

The first issue will have (in no particular order)

A 2-door 1961 V200 sedan ("R" model)
1965 VC Valiant with a 340
1977 KC Centura with a 265 hemi six with 254hp at the rear wheels
1934 Desoto Airflow
1971 E49 charger track pack
1970 440+6 cuda (RHD)
1965 AP-6 V8 station wagon
1971 group NC race Charger

Add to this Technical Features, Restoration Features, Readers Rides, Technical and Resto Q&A, Latest news and events plus much more, and you will see this is going to be an excellent magazine.

We will also have subscriptions available, even to overseas subscribers. In fact we already have subscribers in the US, Canada, and New Zealand. The first issue will be released at the end of this month, and then it will be a quarterly to start off with. Then we are hoping to move into a bi-monthly after that.

The Website is at

Slick 6 Packs

Hoefully we'll see you there

Biggrin Definitely a go!

I wonder how much a subscription to the States would run (extra postage and exchange). Love those little Hemi buggers. Too bad Ma Mopar never built 'em here. Imagine a Barracuda coupe with a triple Weber sixer.

Ok the oversea's subscriptions prices so far are:

United States $30US
Canada $34 Canadian
and
New Zealand $42 New Zealand

While they may seem high at first they are Air Mail rates so you won't have to wait 6 months for the magazine. You should get it pretty much straight away.

I'll include the International Subscription Form tonight.

Just seen a new mag called MoPar Now. All front wheel drive minus the Prowler and Ram pick up write ups.
It's a pub by MoPar action feturing new Mopar rides as opposed to the old rides.

Yeah I've got that, but in Australia it costs $16!!!

If your interested in Australian Mopars then we have the magazine for you.

If anyone doubts my addiction to mopars, here a list of cars I've owned recently . (last 12 months)

A 440 powered VG wagon (A body station wagon)
A B&M supercharged 360 powered Australian Charger
A B&M supercharged 265 powered Australian Charger
and there just the mega-interesting ones!!

At the moment I'm building a 6/71 blown 360 and fitting it to a cable operated 727. This is going into a 65 VC utility (Bascially a 65 valiant pickup) and I'm looking for 10 second quarters on pump gas.

At the moment I own about 8 Mopars, so I'm just like you guys, basically.

In Australia we have alot of interesting models you wouldn't have seen in the US (the 1970 A body wagon being a case in point), and I believe you guys would be very interested in some of the things we have over here and the enthusiasts who build them.

Here's a pic of the chargers engine bay with the blown 265 hemi six.

Actually there are already a few over there, but it would cost too much I wouldn't think. Our dollar is only worth 52cents of yours. So you could buy an immaculate charger for $10,000-$15,000aus which is really $5000-$7500US, and get a car that is very unique to the US. The added bonus is that most of the front end is the same as your A bodies, the only difference would be the RHD steering box which is mounted to the chassis rail instead of the "K" frame. The are a very cool car, I just sold mine to my friend so he can put his 440 in it. I sold it without motor or trans for $3600aus, now that a bargain in anyones dollars. In Australia at the moment it's a buyers market because no-one is really buying cars at the moment. It's all very quiet.
