I was wondering if I could use the primary metering block from a Holley 600vac (#1850)on a 750vac (#3310)? The only noticeable difference is the vacuum advance fitting is a smaller diameter on the 600. I can't get a seal on the power valve gasket with the primary block that is on the 750 now. The 600 never had a problem with that.
Also, would I be able to replace the secondary metering plate on the 750vac with the secondary metering block from a Holley 750DP (#4779)? I have the longer bowl screws and block gaskets, but will it function properly? ------------------ Stoplight action in a street fightin' '85 M-body 360ci. or '68 Hemi GTX 4spd. |

No, the internal fuel passages are different sizes. The 600 block will choke the flow on a 750 carb. Holleys and all carbs are of a system, and can't be mixed and matched too easily. To illustrate this, take a few drill bits and carefully measure the litte holes next to the power valve. The 600 holes should be noticably smaller. Although you can drill these out, there are a dozen other passages like it that you can't reach.
