I responded to you under the Nascar section but that was before I saw you wanted a Townsend car. I assume you are wanting to race a pavement late model.

Arrington is in Martinsville, Va. But, I suspect he is only interested in the latest Nascar engine (R5/P7) combinations. And to my knowledge they are only available as lease engines.

Stanton in Nickolasville, Ky is another good builder of Mopar engines (Kinser, Blaney, Francis) but they are all aluminum, balls to the wall dirt engines.

Ram Automotive in Lynchburg Va. is probably your best bet as a engine source. He has a lot of all iron experience and apparently his engines are competitive. Don't know about prices. If you are planning to race the Nascar Late Model circuit, their 350 CFM carb rule is tricky and causes a lot of dyno R&D time. That really drives up to cost on at least the first engine.

By the way, if you want a good, reliable race engine; GM, Ford or Mopar will all be within a few $ of each other. The blocks, cranks, rods, cams, heads, valves, etc. are all the same price regardless of brand.

Call telephone information in Lynchburg, VA for Richardson Automotive Machine(RAM). Bill Richardson is the owner and will probably answer the phone.
