Default B-body road racing suspension setup

I'm looking to set up the suspension on my '69 RR for some high-performance street handling, and would like some suggestions on what springs I should use... it's a 383/727 car and I was thinking of upgrading to the 440 suspension (XHD leafs and .920 TB). I notice that in the MP catalog there are 440 torsion bars advertised (.920) and also .960 440/hemi "improved handling" bars; which ones should I use? If I had a 440 I'd definitely go .960 but since my 383 is lighter I don't know if I should go that stiff. Or possibly I should go even stiffer...? I have a set of Hellewig swaybars for front and back that will be added along with the new springs.

What size are your sway bars? I ran a '68 B-body in a street stock class back in the 80's. It was an original B engine car. I ran a small block and had an 1-1/8" front sway bar. I still managed to pick the left front off the ground in Rapid City at Black Hills Speedway.

I think that the rear sway bar would be a nice addition on a performance cornering street car. It allows the roll stiffness of a race car without the harsh ride. You may however want to look into a stiffer front spring to allow a lower front ride height without smashing the K-member on every little bump.

The sway bars are the stock diameter Hellewig bars, I don't know the diameters off the top of my head but would be easy enough to measure them if necessary. I know the front bar is larger than the original; kinda has to be since it's meant to work with the rear bar...
