Default vin number

I just purchased a 68 Barracuda vin number BH23F8B100248 if in correct this is a low number car come down the line as 248th car is this correct

That would be car number 248 from Hamtramck, MI. If you look at the fender tag, you will find that it was probably built in late '67.
