I picked up a 1988 Diplomat Taxi that was a police car before that. It has a 318 4 barrel. What heads would be on this engine and with 234 k would they be worth sending out for a rebuild? What should be done to them, by who and what might it cost. I was thinking about putting them on my stock 1978 low mileage 360 4-barrel engine in my Mirada.
Thanks for this site and any help would be appreciated. |

You propably have ordinary 360 non high swirl heads there. Remove a valve cover and check the number and you'll be much wiser.

I recently parted out an '88 Diplomat Police cruiser and hoped to find the 308's. No go man, It's got 345's. 360 4bbl heads, but with a large combustion chamber. They will work great with some good valves and some bowl work if you are using a high compression shortblock and want to run pump fuel.
