Default Will late A-body T-bars fit in early A-bodies?

I'm looking at getting a 66 Barracuda, and am planning on road racing the thing, either autocross or vintage racing. I've got a lot of 70's Darts and Valiants that I can take parts off of, and I know the rear axle/springs and the front spindles will swap (with A-arm change), but what about the T-bars?

Thumbs up T-Bars

I think all A-body bars will interchange, well not left-to-right. The all have the 35.8" length and 1.25" hex. You could try some off the really big MP bars for slot car racing.

Why bother with a Torsion Bar 20-30 years old for an A-engine. Mopar carries P5248153 1.040 for heavy duty solo or other type racing, other bars are available based on your preferance. You can get them from the dealer or a discount house for around a hundred bucks and they fit either side.

you are correct about the MP torsion bars but beware I ordered some .920 for a 68 dart, and they are backordered indefinetely. I have tried a few places and they all say the same thing. The only other place I have seen torsion bars is P-S-T, and they are $260.
maybe someone else knows of another place that manufactures them.

What size TB's would you reccommend for autocross? I've also heard that the hot setup for the rear is to use SS springs and de-arch them... but don't I have to use different spring mounts and other hardware to use the SS springs?

Question

I think the SS springs use all the standard hardware on an A-body.

Default ss springs

the super stock springs for the a bodies use factory front hangers and factory rear shackles but the bushings that go inside the spring are the larger 1 inch o.d. bushings, stock on the e,b+c body cars. the upper bushings are still 7/8 inch. so you will need (4) 1 inch bushings and (4)7/8 bushings.
