Recheck all that you have done. Power shifting is a nack that has to be felt out. It will change slightly when the tranny comes outand gos back in. Make sure that your case is full of oil. And everything is lined up.
If the trouble persits, it may be internal.

The problem is probably with the scatter shield. There could be 2 things wrong with the scatter shield.(I have found that the shield is stamped steel and tolerances are not very good) The first thing to check is the alignment of engine mounting surface of shield to trans mount surface. If you lay the shield flat on a flat surface with the engine side down, put a straight-edge on trans side-all measurements to the flat surface must be the same-exactly. If that checks out- then mount the shield to engine. Then check runout with a dial indicator of the crankshaft alignment to the input shaft hole in shield, it should be within a few thousandths of an inch. If not, you can buy offset dowel pins. Hope that this helps.

mjjm2,if your clutch is a diaphragm type it will have a stronger "hold" as rpms increase,if it will power shift at 3500 but not at 6000 thats most likely your prob.If you have a semi metallic disc this too can make powershifting nearly impossible as the metallic bits imbedded in the disc surface not only grab well but expand with heat, they require further disengagement to release, you must fully depress the clutch pedal to shift, try adjusting your clutch when hot and go for maximum disengagement it might help. The best clutch for "banging gears" is the old borg&beck 3 finger style with a marcell(rag) disc,it wont last as long but is alot more fun,Ive got 10k on mine & the disc needs replaced...oh well.......PRO...
