Valve Seals, Viton vs. Teflon
Which type of valve seals are better for use on Indy SR-1's, the viton umbrella seals or the teflon seals?

if its a street car, and you are using single springs then the viton umbrella seals are IMO a better choice. if its dual springs then its a matter of what will fit inside the inner spring. if a banded rubber seal will fit, then i would use those, if not, then go teflon.

TEFLON!!
I have always used the teflon seals on all engines, street and race, with zero problems. They work well.
