I have a 69 Road Runner and the information I have is all I know as I was told by the last owner; 383HP with stock heads, Torker intake, 650 Holley DBL pump, 292 dur / 509 lift cam, stock flat top slugs, 2 1/2 inch Flowmasters, Elect dist. I want to put in a set of headers but not sure what manufacture would be the best. I don't want to go nuts pulling the motor to put them in. The runner has pwr stearing. ALSO, what would be the max RPM in a setup like this?

As a general stab at the specs. The Torker II go's to 6500rpm. The cam is in that general range as well.
Take it to the track, and keep the launch the same. No need to be aggesive yet. Shifrt at 6000 to start. Then increase the point of shift 100 rpm's until best et. is reached.
Every eng. is a little differant. The way it was set up, cam degree/ phased.etc.Valve size is a key too.
As far as headers. I don't know the in's & out's of your car. Many fella's around my way use the Hooker Super Comp's. for speed.

I use Heddmans, but I think the Hookers clear the unibody better for a straight shot back to the mufflers. While I am generally happy with the Heddmans, they dump right in front of the unibody crossmember, making it harder to fit exhaust myself.

Before dropping the stroker engine in the Charger, it was 383 powered and I used the 1-7/8" Hooker Comp headers which fit really good. The 2" Hooker Super comp headers are a really tight fit, and probbly too big for your engine with stock valves sizes.

I ran my 383 with a milider cam and I used both a 650 cfm and 750 cfm carb.
The 650 cfm seemed to work best at the drag strip, but it would limit the top end MPH on the highway (I think about 120+ MPH.)
The 750 cfm carb was good for almost 150 MPH when the engine ran out of RPM (about 6,200 RPM, with 3.23:1 gears.)
