Not at all! I just stumbled upon your very generous offer and I gotta hear it! Tell me about it...I am all ears. Hell, if it is such a great offer, I can almost guarantee you that I can put you in touch with all the people you probably need to get rid of all this free gasoline you are offering!

Go ahead...please...you have my attention!

Angry

This time, I actually went to the website and quickly read through the short version. Like I said before, a huge steaming pile of B#&&S@#%!

I've seen marketing schemes where naive kids get suckered into them, then they go and humiliate themselves while trying to pressure their friends into buying whatever it is they have to sell to get the "BIG MONEY" they were promised. And this is another one. bjlindsey, quit embarrasing yourself in front of all of us with this stupid idea. Have at least a LITTLE dignity and pride! Go buy your "free" gas and cruise and let us miss out on this fabulous once in a lifetime offer.

And it's NOT free, it's DISCOUNTED at best!!!

Tim..I am more than happy to let you miss out...not a problem. I am happy for all the retailers out there that you prefer to pay full price, without a DISCOUNT. It's your life. Pizza Hut (owned by Pepsico) is advertising free breadsticks on TV...if you order a pizza..(JD are you listening) I wonder if their attorneys ever even thought about the legality of using the word FREE...probably not. By the way, I am not embarrassed, and it's not a steaming pile of BS. Some people seem interested in saving money on their gas purchases. The interesting thing about this is that you don't have to sell squat. You might have missed that part.
You do have me convinced that you have never joined any kind of 'club' or 'membership' to try to save money. More power to you. You also have me convinced that getting a little further ahead in life has no importance to you. Once again, more power to you. Don't worry, Be happy.
I have plenty of diginty, by the way and will be happy to just go cruise and pay a "discount" of 10 cents a gallon. I removed my post and apologized on this thread. And I still continue to get flaming posts. This is where dignity kicks in.

Your floor, Tim.

Sit back..I'll do the math for you

12 x 40 (that's paying $160 dollars for a $200 gas card...200-160 is 40..got that???) $480 - $295 (that would be your membership fee...you with me???) EQUALS...$185. Any questions on my math?

abalto...

If you feel it is really necessary to ban me for trying to help others save money, you're the moderator. But if you do, at least have the decency to explain to me why.

Well, I am really not interested in banning anyone. ( I just wanted to make sure we had the same dictionary on hand

But I can say, we have a rule against posting advertisments and/or any type of sales schemes, and I would say this qualifies as both. Now, I tend to enforce this the more someone posts. You posted this ad on like the second or third post here, so this really does raise a flag.

We really do not want this type or advertising done here...period.

Please do not post this stuff here again...

You know, I revisted this thing and did ALL the math, and this is what I came up with...

You pay the $295 membership, then you are able to purchase a gas card that will buy you $200 worth of gas for only $160...OK.

SO in other words you need to spend $295 + ($160x12) = $2,215.00 and you receive $2,400.00 in gas! You save a whopping $185? or a little LESS than a whopping 8% on your money? and keep in mind you have to SPEND $2,215 to be able to SAVE the $185? You spend less and you save NOTHING!

And the catch is you have to excercise the entire deal or you will actual lose money. It is only on the purchase of your 12th card (you have to wait 12 months!) and then you can "cash in" on your $185.00!

and this dealing with some flaky network marketing company? Your money in a money market account can get you somewhere around 6%. And, if you throw that $2400 in some good stocks you can make 10% in a single month...

This is a classic Network marketing scheme. A few people sitting around thinking of the perfect "product" to market. The perfect "product" is something EVERYONE buys, and gasoline is just a new one to me!

So Brian, with all due repect I really do not think this really a good deal. You seem to save about $15/mo, if you break it down....and you have to wait until you purchase the 12th card to save the money. You time the thing wrong, and you are screwed. They mention a 10 day period to get your card...

The real opportunity is not in the free $185 worth of gas, but in the network marketing kickbacks. Here is some free advice...invest all that time and money into yourself...go back to school. That would be a much better investment. Become a network admin or learnsome code and work part time for $75.00/hour. If you work 10 pultry hours a week, that is $750.00 week. Work only 26 weeks in a year, and you will make $19.500.00 That sounds like a better return than $185!

OR, if you already are doing that, then you are doing fine for yourself...just take a vacation!
