Sub Frame Connectors
Hey I am thinking about putting competition engineering weld in sub frame connectors on my 70' Challenger. Has anyone used these befor? how do they fit? how much work is required to weld them in? Do they get in the way of anything? good, bad?
thanks, Mike |

I don`t know aboue CE`s connecters but I can say stay away from the Mopar frame connecters for an "E" body.
They hang down in the back 2" to 3"..Tacky looking. Joe |

The best thing you can do for sub frame connectors is just build your own. Use some 2x3 tubeing and connect them in. You will have to cut into your floor some. But this gets them out of the way. When you connect the subs plug weld them in then make a lap weld around them. Then just weld them into the floor. If you do this don't cut to much out of the floor or you will have a big gap to fill with weld. If you have never welded sheet metal before becareful.

unless you are beating your car up, ie street racing or strip, the connectors aren't needed.
