This is the scenario i have with my oil system. It's a 265 turbo engine with
Hpr30 Turbo oil, when the engine is cold @ idle it has 40psi and @ wot 60psi, when it's warm i get 30 psi @idle and 45psi@wot, and when it's really hot(the engine), i get 20psi@idle nd 25psi@wot. Does that sound normal, or do I need an oil coiler or higher volume oil pump? |

Sounds like the oil is thining out as it gets hot. An oil cooler is always a plus, and should help out.

I don't know if it will apply to a turbo engine, but you might try a thicker oil, because sometimes if your cam bearings are wearing out (I don't know your mileage situation), your oil pressure will be less. Using a thicker oil won't always give you more pressure, but a thicker oil will not run off your bearings as fast, etc. Hope that helps.
