Default 360 build up

I have a 360 that needs to be rebuilt. I am going to do it and try and squeeze as much hp out of it as I can. Anybody have any tips on where to shop from, what parts are the best, etc?

Thanks
Dan S

Cool 360 Hop Ups

It depends on a number of things. First of all, how deep are your pockets? Certain mods can real expensive in a hurry. Second, what is this engine going into? And how much does it weigh? Next, what time frame are you looking at? Does it have to be done next week? But most importantly, how patient are you? Depending on exactly what you want to do, it might take a little while to get everything put back together, which brings me to the last question. Do you have the equipment to do this yourself?

To make things simple, yes I have the equipment, I did the same thing to my Neon last winter. It is going into a 1980 Ram 150 Custom. Frame and body are solid. I am hoping not to spend more then about $6000. The truck only weighs 3,230lbs. I have 4 months off so I am in no rush. I am looking at the Holley Pro-jection fuel injection system. But that is it for now

THanks

Are the tires on your truck really tall? And what gear are your running? Street bound? Street/strip?

Edelbrock has the best dual plane going. RPM!
Carb is choice. That fuel injection unit is unknown to me. I have read good and bad. I guess it depends on the tuner???
Cams..LOL MoPar, Comp, Crane and also Hughes. Just to name a few.
Headers should be tti if they have something for a truck, otherwise get a set of hooker super comps @ 1 3/4 tube size.
Mufflers; Hooker, Dyno max. Period!
Piatons; J&E, Keith Black, Federal Mougal, Diamond.

The list can go on & on & on & on...
