Default Question on crank with 8 holes instead of 6

I am looking to buy a 413 steel crank to make a 451 out of a 400. This crank has 8 holes instead of 6 like the standard 440 crank. It also has the big centering hole for the flywheel.

My question has to do with the 8 holes instead of the standard 6. I need to know if this will be a big problem. What problems will this lead to? Will this work? Will it be hard to find a flywheel? Will it require a starter change? What about balancing? I wonder if you can use the same balancer as the 440? Any input will be appreicated.

You'll need to change the flywhell over on 4spd cars or the pre mentioned flex plate. You should be able to get this stuff from Mom MoPar easy. After market has parts as well.

Post 413 crank

I think you better find a different crank. If memory serves me right the crank won't work. The rear flang sits out a little to far and you won't get a transmission bolted up. It's either a 413 truck crank or one that fits a castiron torqueflite.
