For you NASCAR fans: The first public showing of the Intrepid race car is going to be Monday, Nov. 20 from 1:00-7:00 p.m. at Dominion Dodge in Salem , VA. Their phone number is 540-387-0202 if you would like to call for more information. Our Mopar club has known about this for some time but we had to keep it under wraps. Now it is being advertised publicly so I am passing it along to any NASCAR fans who might want to come. I live just a few miles away in Roanoke. Salem is an adjacent city, and is just off of interstate 81 in the western part of the state. Also feel free to e-mail me for more info and I will try to help.

Hate to bust your bubble, but that car was on display at the 2000 Auto Show in Anaheim, CA last Wed. through Sun. Saw it myself Sunday, and it's pretty awesome!

Wasn't that the show car I saw in Loudon, NH on Sept 15-17? It was definately an Intrepid. It was red and white.

What I had been hearing at our club meetings was that this would be the first public showing, but someone was wrong it looks like. They did say that Dominion Dodge had put their dibs in VERY early to get a showing of the car.
Now some things have developed at work. At first I was trying to get a vacation day for Monday, now it looks like I may not even get out of here in time to see the car that evening!!!
PS - Now that I think of it, maybe Dominion was supposed to be the first dealership to get a showing. Maybe I'm getting so old my brain is beginning to get spongy.

There was an intrepid in CT about a month ago. It was the Busch North car that has not been approved yet. They were going testing at Limerock Int. Raceway. <>< dodge is going to rock!!

Does anyone know what type of engine they're running? I saw some information somewhere, but I can't remember, and I can't find the magazine.... Is it the return of the hemi? I'm not up to date on all the new stuff going on.
