340 Manifold Installation

I jsut got my hi-flow 340 manifolds and had a machinest friend build two sleeves for the passanger side manifold. My origonal plan was to just use bolts but the car uses 5/16 thread on the headers from the old headers but a 5/16 bolt seems way to sloppy in the 340 amnifold holes, question now is did mopar use a special 5/16 into 3/8 stud? I might be slight off my my sizes... -metric rules!- But am I on the right train of thought here?

The headers had bolts as well... 5/16 bolts... I just measured the inside diameter of the holes for the header to that of the manifold and they are the same. So the question still is did mopar use a 5/16stud into the block with a 3/8 stud and nut on the manifold end? Or is this gap ment for expansion?

Had the same problem ataching the 340 manifolds. The kit can be obtained from R/T Specialties for about $30.00 and includes all parts needed for the correct installation of the manifolds.
