Cool

Since Chrysler owns whats left of AMC I was wondering if theres any forum for Q&A on Mopar chat .com for the AMC builder?I'm not trying to start anything or stir things up, but I'm sure that theres as many people out here that like tech about these almost gone but not forgotton rides as I and a FEW of my buddies do.We've tried the jeep forum but most of the q&a does not relate to cars, just trucks. So what do you guys and gals think?

Alot of people think of AMCs as being MOPARs in the first place. I think it would get a few more folks in here. Or, you could always post AMC questions in the offtopic forum.

I think I could handle a 69 AMX with a 390. From what I have read in years past their engines have excellent potential. Personally I don't have any problem considering AM products as Mopars.

A good Mopar friend of mine just sold a 70 lime green Mark Donahue Javelin. 390 4spd. Car was pretty cool and in very good shape. I hear it's in Council Bluffs, Iowa now. 69 AMX was a nice package too.

There was a lime green 4sp Rebel "Machine" in the Auto Trader here in So. Cal about a year ago, sort of looked like a road runner from the tiny black and white picture. I think it was 1200 clams. I called on it Friday morning, it had sold 2 hours after the mag hit the streets thursday morning. We disected a 304 Gremlin in auto shop in 1984.

My Dad used to have a guy bring his 304 Gremlin in for service when I was a kid. The car was silver with a black strip. It was also a 3-spd manual car. I remember my dad telling me how well that little car would run. The guy that owned it would always do burnouts in front of my dad's station when he picked it up. AMCs are cool, and I love to see them.

I've had an '84 Eagle for years and still really like it. Being 4 wheel drive has made it a great winter car especially.
Even though it has a Chrysler 904 transmission and a few other mopar parts it'll never be considered a Mopar to me. But I wouldn't mind seeing a section on this site dedicated to AMC cars. In fact I would welcome it.

Just my 2 cents. Thanks

Not to offend any AMC fans, but I don't consider them a Mopar, and I own a 93 Jeep.I do like AMC's,my brother in law has 2 69 390 AMX's.I personally think that ALL AMC enthusiasts need to unite and show interest to the aftermarket for parts and reproduction pieces, otherwise AMC parts will head the way of the Studebaker.Even Mopar Performance doesn't carry as much as they used to for them.

I owned & drove daily a 71 Gremlin for 6 years. I totally beat that car to death and it still ran like a clock. If the body wouldn't have rusted off it, I'd still have it.

I like A lot of the AMCs cars and the JEEP trucks. The 360, 390 and 401 motors are great
I think. If they only made more parts for them, That way it would be easier to restore and build up. I could be an AMX man.
