Looking for suggestions on improving rear suspension for drag racing. Currently suspension is stock. Need to be able to bolt on myself to save costs. Current 60ft time is 1.6 at track elevation of 4,960. Car has 440 built to 452 racing only. Car weighs 3,100 lbs. Looking at Comp Eng slide-a-link. Anyone ever use this?

If your 60 ft. is 1.6, you should be going around 11.55@117 mph, right? How much wheelspin do you get off the line now, and what size slick/gear do you use?

I'm using 30 X 11.5 firestones with 4.89 rear. wheel slip is unknown. Unfortunately after having the engine rebuilt last winter I only got 2 partial runs before the rear end let go and shattered the ring and pinion. I'm using a 4000 stall full manual A-727. I'll have to admit it launched very well That first run back. I let off about 3/4 track on first run and still ran a 12.36. Remember this is at almost a mile high.

Hey MoparWins: Do you guys have a track near you? If so, some of us Colorado boys would be interested in coming up there for racing next summer. I am sure PRO and I would be willing to make the trip if you have a Mopar weekend or something. Let us know.

I race at Douglas, Wy. 60 mile east of Casper. Season is May thru Sept. I know we get a lot of racers from thefront range area, including King Of Street people from Denver area. I have the suspension totally apart including brackets so that I can Powder coat all of it, so I will try your suggestion. Thanks.
