Thumbs up for BB Edelbrock heads
Just got back from Norwalk Raceway in Ohio ( 550km away).
I got a real good look at the Mopar heads and the Edelbrock heads. All the Mopar heads need a good bowl porting before they will flow any air. You need to take an awful lot out of the stage 6's. Big surprise when I looked the Edelbrock heads. Someone runs a die grinder in the bowls to clean them up before they are assembled. If I get new heads they will be the Edelbrocks. The ports look nice and smooth. |

Gotta love those Edelbrocks!!
Not only are the ports and bowls smooth right out of the box, they are also hundreds of dollars cheaper! I think they are the street/strip buy of the year!
Here's a set of the E-heads on my soon-to-be-running 440 Duster. |

DusterDave, that is one super clean looking engine bay dude!
Thanks to Glen440 for the edelbrock info! That about clinches my decision. |

Love the Edelbrocks!!!!!
Installed the new Edelbrock heads along with the 292°/.509" purple shaft cam on the 440 in my GTX. What a difference some breathing does to wake up the motor. Great buy!!!
Here is a pic after re-installing the motor (before the plug wires, fan belt and battery were installed)... Crai |
