Default Wanted: 72-73 D100

I need a work truck. 360 & TF727 preferred. Can be ugly as long as body rust/damage isn't TOO bad. Tow bar/hitch would be nice. Need not be running if price is right.

Wonderful to see another van guy in here, I'm restoring a 77 swb van and would love to share details with you, but I also have a 91 D-250 HD ( 8510GVWR) single rear wheel pickup for sale. 360 EFI, 4 sp, A/C perfect, zero rust, for a bargain price of 3500 OBO !!!
There are also some older dodges in the local paper for sale, let me know if you want details.
Thanks
Rick

I actually picked up a pretty nice 76 Power Wagon (W200) only to drop a crate motor I purchased about a yr. ago in there and have it explode in less than 5 miles. See 'Just got hosed. Begging for your help.' in Performance Talk.

Happy to share any details about the vans.

The 77 was a practice run, and in fact I sold it. It's still in the family, though, I sold it to my brother-in-law. So I still see it from time to time. The 73 is about 80% done. A quick list of the things I have done:

8 3/4 rear with 3.91 Sure-grip and Wilwood disc brake conversion.
295 50R15 BFGoodrich tires.
727 with shift kit and Gear Vendors under/overdrive unit.
Lowering springs, front and rear.
Firm feel power steering box.
Converted from column shift to floor shift.
110 A alternator.

Things still left:
Custom wiring harness.
Motor: Originally planned a 318->390 stroker but after pulling 3 blocks from the yard and having each fail either magnaflux or sonic test, I am giving up on that idea. Instead I will get a 300hp Magnum 360, swap in a beefier cam (the 380hp cam doesn't have enough low end torque for a van, even a light one like mine), maybe some roller rockers , a slight shave of the heads to bump compression to 9.5 - 9.75 and be done with it. It's a compromise, but when storage is $339/mo., it needs to be on the road soon.

If you want ideas/details, just post here or use the email feature and email me.
