Default balanced flexplate confusion

ok i got my balanced flexplate from B&M for my 360. now the wierd thing is some people tell me there should be weights on the flexplate to balance it. but my flexplate has that half moon shape cut into the side of it to balance it right? and the second question is do i still have to add the weights to the torque converter with the flexplate? or not? it's a 727 trany with a 340 torque converter balanced for a 340 and it has weights on it already but i had it in my dart with a 360 and it still vibrated with a balanced flexplate. Can someone clear this up?

The B&M 360 external balance flexplate looks like a perfect circle with one side cut off, and this needs NO weights on the converter to work properly. The cast crank 340's were balanced differently than the 360, so it would probably vibrate on your 360 engine. I would knock off the weights on your 340 converter, bolt it onto the B&M plate and burn rubber!!

The B&M flexplate should be part # 10236 for a 360 and neutral balanced torque converter

Make sure you install it right. Its a easy and well looked over mistake. The SFI sticker should face the motor.

Red face no wieghts!

definitley no wieghts on the B&M flexplate OR the T.C. The half moon cut in the fflex plate IS the balance!
I concur with Darn Dart. knock the wieghts off the T.C. and bolt it up and haul a$$!
