A 413 has a 4.250 bore, the same as a 383 you can make your 413 into a 426 but they are prone to cylinder wall cracking when taken out that far. It is best to go either .030 or .060 over on the 413.

Sorry guys a 413 has a bore size of 4.187. I have read that the blocks were made with the same cores as a 440. If thats the case then I would assume you could punch it out the same as a 440, but why?

I wouldn't bore it out too far, .060 is likely max. The sleeves will not be the same as a 440 even if the block is the same. If you have the parts you could modify the block to accept Hemi heads.

Sleeves in a iron block? They sure don't leave the factory like that. If you are talking about putting Hemi heads on a wedge block have fun putting in the fifth head bolt. If your talking wedge heads they will bolt onto a 413 at std bore size.
