Anybody in Colorado who knows of any 360 core's that I could buy. I'm not having much luck called all the numbers that were in my file from when I Bought a rear axle housing.
I found 2 LA motors for cheep. Can you bolt Magnum head to an LA block, or will I have oil leak problems.

You can bolt the head right on, but the oiling is different. The LA oils the valve gear through the block, and the magnum oils through the pushrods. You will need hollow pushrods and magnum valve gear, and must use hydraulic lifters (unless someone make solids with oil passages, I've never heard of them). Also, you will get a more modern, swirl-port design with a smaller combustion chamber. Just make sure your compression doesn't go too high.

By the way, the Mopar Performance 'A' Engine book recommends against this procedure, they say you should just buy one of their new LA heads instead. Think they are giving the best advise, or are they just trying to sell something? Anyone with an opinion on this?

You can run an AMC solid lifter from what I am told. They are the same diameter as a chrysler and AMC oiled through the pushrod.

You might want to give PRO (John) a call. He lives in Grand Junction and runs a shop there as well. His number is listed under JP Auto in Grand Junction.
