Default What's a 1970 Road Runner worth?

Hi all,

Newbie here. I sold a 69 RR about 10 years ago that I had spent a lot of time and money fixing up and still have regrets : ( The other day, a friend tells me about a 70 RR (383, 4spd, blue inside & out) he knows about, Car is supposed to be in great shape and the owner may sell it if he likes the price (may be original owner). What's the car worth? Say the condition is "excellent"? Not exactly swimming in dough, if you know what I mean ; ) But if the price is right I may go into hoc over it... Thanks for the help/advice on what this thing's worth today...

Take a good look at the car and see how much work it might need or parts replaced and you may be able to use that as a way to show the owner the cars price might be lower than what he thinks, but you never know untill you ask him?
I got a nice '69 Coronet 500 for $800! at that price I was expecting something close to a parts car, and this was a really decent, and original, driveable car. On the other Hand, I just paid way too much for my '69 Coronet R/T convertible, but I really wanted one bad and they don't come up for sale very often.

Whithout knowing or seeing the car, just going from your description it may be $7,000 +/-$5,000?

thanks for the response guys - especially from 6pacman & Jim. Doug, I'm interested in paying LESS than what it's worth! I'll have to go check it out but I'm trying to get a feel for what the car's worth ahead of time....

Just make sure to look it over REAL close. I have looked at a few "excellent" cars lately that didn't exactly fit my idea of "excellent". (Junk is a word that comes to mind)

That car is somewhat rare in the west. I paid 10k for mine and will have to re-do the paint next year. Car was original though and a #'s car. I probably paid more than I should, but like I said, the 70 RR is rare out here

BEEP! BEEP! F4 green auto, 3:55 with a 383. For now!

Pick a price, any price. I just checked out Hemmings.com. Roadrunners advertised from $1400 for rolling body, to $67,500 for Superbird (negotiable-i should say so).
