I'm thinking about dropping a 360 in my Duster and I have a few questions.
Will the edelbrock alum heads fit on a MP low compression magnum short block? and if they do what will the compression be? Also if I chose to rebuild a non magnum engine block using pistons that wound be 8.0 compression with a 68cc combustion chamber what would the compression be with 65cc combustion chambers? Do the edelbrock alum heads keep the exhuast ports in the same location so i could use the same headers I have been using? Has anyone had any problems with the alum heads? Thanks in advance J |

You can bolt on a set. But the magnum block dosn't oil through the heads. You can drill out the block to do so. Then use the older head gaskets.
The low comp. piston @ 8.0-1 would only go up about .3-.5 in compresion. Giiven the old head is around the 70cc mark. If the low compresion Magnum block is the one in the catolog, The compres. would be about 9.4-1. The exhaust ports are raised a tiny bit I believe. The current headers you have can be used on the heads. I have yet to bolt mine on. Spring time I'll do it. |
