Anyone??

I've got a quote on a new one for $140, but would rather not buy it if I didn't have to. But my daily ride is gutted in my parking space. Any home Joe ways to test these things??

Also, any good way to get these things on the input shaft when the oil pump rotor is a bit off center. I don't want to have to break out the hammer again.

Sorry to be a pest, but my daily ride is a Specialized right now.

No. As long as it isnt real loud. If you can get your finger in the hole everything should also move and you will hear a little noise. As long as it is no loud bangs. If you buy a new one dont get cheap. It will just mean more money spent in the long run.
