This debate has gone on for a long time, the M1 is an old manifold, design wise. Read up some dyno tests in mopar mags, you'll notice that the M1 has been consistently passed up by newer dual planes in certain applications. True, if you're going to be running circle track, WOT 90% of your driving time, a dual plane will be restrictive, and the single plane plenum ram is the way to go.

I haven't tried the M1 but have tried similar intakes like the Victor340, I now run the rpm air gap and it's been the best!

The M1 is an updated aluminum LD 340 intake, its a very tall dual plane, excellent all around intake, the airgap is better though flowing well from 1500-6500,I havent tried 1 on a sb mopar yet but have installed several and I was impressed with their good driveabilty and excellent performance........PRO....
