Or you could try this for a little more $,10:1 mp short block(assembled) $1200,Edelbrock aluminum heads with bolt kit $1270,youll need an oil pan and pick up and pump,intake and carb and distributor,stock pan and pick($89) up are fine,use a melling oil pump($39) an air gap intake($160) and a holley 750 or edelbrock 800,this combo will rock on pump gas,youll make about 450 at the crank......PRO....

Casey;
Have the young lady sign in herself. The ladys are well looked after hear. (Or is it the otherway around ) Still, Best bet is to know how much power you want or how fast you want to go. Your question is a very general one. Shannon has a nice build up. So do others here. All are a little different. Some are more racey while others are more tame. Shannon's is a bit on the street/strip side and adjustable rockers add maintainance. Not alot though. They just need to be looked after from time to time. Still yet, there are mild build up's and more radical ones to do than Shannons, PRO's or mine. Looking foward to helping out and welcome to the board. |

I like the guidelines for motor builds in the back of a Mopar Performance catalog. These are factory recomended setups for engine/performance levels desired. I went by there recomendations 3 times with close results to what they predicted.
