Default SB A body headers?

I have a '67 barracuda and a bebuilt 340 ready to go in. I ordered hooker competion headers for it, but one of the drivers side primary tubes does't clear the moroso low profile oil pan. I was going to order the super competion ones in hope that they will clear. I've looked at TTI headers they look like they would fit, but not sure I want to spend the money.
Any input on what header will fit is greatly appreciated!!

My A body is a bit newer than yours, but the ones I've heard are good are the TTI's and the Thorley's.

Super comp's are equal length to 10%. This might make some tubes longer. Does your pan have a kick out? If it does, there might not be much you can do due to the unorthodox design. Getting headers to fit is one thing, making them equal length is another, and to clear non stock pans might be just too much.

Watch out for ground clearance with headers on an A-body. I tried the Hooker Super Comps on my 68 Cuda and took them off after a year and replaced them with exhaust manifolds. They hung too low and I crushed them within a year and a half. Look at them on other cars before you buy.

I have a 360 with a lo-pro oil pan in my '72 Duster and my TTI headers fit great. They're expensive but a quality nice fitting header.

I had the same problem on the Dart. My solution was to modify the oil pan for clearance. I just notched the Milodon pan about an inch to clear the headers. Works fine.

Darn Dart and I run the 1 3/4 hooker super comps on our a-bodies (#5204) and love them, even on the street. Run a front tire thats 26-28 inches tall for plenty of ground clearance.

71 Scamp is right, I also run the super comps with a Moroso deep pan without any clearance problems. They hang a little low but I've never bottomed them out yet. And they make awsome power!!

comes down to the get what you pay for. I had the $99 heddman's, and they cut under the steering linkage, bumped into the torsion bar, were a huge pain to install, and got crushed the ffirst speed bump that i went over.

I haven;'t heard one bad thing about the TTI's, and that is what i was saving up for until i went the turbo route, and needed custom headders.
