Default Engine ID

Does anyone have a good chart for identifying slant 6 engines? I have searched all over the web tonight and have not been able to find a decent chart or any other info for identification. I want to know how to find the year, size and whatever else can be learned from the casting #s and stampings by the coil mount. All info will be greatly appreciated.
