295/60/15's on 70 Dart?
Hi I saw a 69 Dart today with 295/60/15 tires, and the stance was exactly what I want! Anyone know if I can fit these tires without modification? If so what mods are needed?
Thanx for all the info! Mike |

I do not think it is possible to install this size in that body style without doing a little work. I know a guy with a 73 Fastback A-body that has a 275/50-15 on his car and I have a 265/50 on mine but we both have offest shackles and front hangers. The older style Darts have even less room for tires than ours do. Maybe the car had mini tubbs and relocated leaf springs.

The car looked super clean underneath. I think what he has done to fit those tires is shorten the rear-end, relocate the leaves, and had the original rims widened and offset! I like the look but am not sure if I would want to cut my 8.3/4, and relocate the leaves. How would that hurt the value of the car?
