2.25 intake valve in a factory wedge head
I have a old mopar magazine. They did a buildup of a 440 with 915 heads. They put a 2.25 intake valve in it. It was a cutdown Chevy valve. They said it did make a nice improvement. Just wondering on what some thaughts on the subject are. I wonder if they would be good in a Stage V head.

That was in Mopar Muscle. Well, in this months issue they try some different intakes and got 666 hp from a tunnel ram set up. All this with 915 iron heads! That BIG intake valve and extensive porting finally showed their stuff! I dont know why you could'nt do it to a one of the new Stage V iron heads. But, ya gotta ask, why would you want to if you could have an aluminum head that would cost the same, in the end, and flow alot better?

good thaught I wonder if the new eldbrock head take the 2.25. I don't know who done the head work but if the elde head is patterned after factory castings maybe this could work in them as well. oh yes 600+hp out of factory heads is impressive.

How much work would it take to put a 2.25 valve in a set of heads?
