yes it is very expensive paint
no, not just any painter will be able to spray. this will be a paint much like a true candy three stage paint in the manner the painter has to very careful not to overlap to much. an experienced
person with these paints will make the investment worthwhile.
note: this is like i said, much like a candy paint, in the fashion that if you scratch it , it is not a easy repair to make it rematch.
like i said an experienced painter will be able to almost anything you want, but not just any joe @ the local bodyshop can.
how much needed:
with the new gravity feed hvlp guns & the proper base & painting
the jambs, trunk & under hood areas. you are going to be pushing to make it with only 3 qts. can't say it enough experience will save you money $$$$ in the long run.
i have done many candy jobs in the past. for a show car or trailer queen they are great, but for a driver its the pits when you sink all that money & some idiot blows past you on the road leaving chips in that real sweet paint job.
my 2 cents for what its worth.
