Default Dodge Magnum -- Over Bag limit, Must throw one back

Have five -- Need to sell one.

I have a 78 Yellow with Tan that has always been a Texas car. It is pretty well loaded with 400Ci and power windows. I drove it from Fort Worth about a year ago to Houston -- and then parked it in my hanger. I haven't have a chance to get photos of this car yet, but will post them here when I do. My original intention was to make it into a Magnum Force (below) Clone race car. The next day I bought a real rough Magnum that has a rusted trunk pan that I'll tub and make into a race car intead of this one.

Honest description:

Car drove well but would benefit by having the leanburn replaced with an Edelbrock Intake and Carb and the lean burn replaced with Mopar Perfomance ignition. I've done this to three of my Magnums and it makes a big difference.

Steering is a little loose -- but no worst than most. I had planned for a front end rebuild.

The right power window won't operate. Neither did the one on the GT (below) I just bought, and I fixed it yesterday with a $56 rebuilt motor from O'Reileys.

Body has no rust through -- but the paint is butt ugly and there has been some hail damage. No worst than what I had a few years ago on a Ford Pick up -- that was repaired.

Carpet is dirty, dash pad has a crack or maybe two, and leather seats are worn.

Needs a battery -- and should have its gas drained and oil change before driven.

I have $2,500 in the car and would sell it for the same. I have $20,000 in one Magnum (below -- 400 with T-Tops)

and $10,000 in another (below -- still has original paint)

and they both drive like new. Will soon have $15,000 in a GT I recently bought. I could drive any new car I want -- but rather drive a restored Magnum because they have stlye. This is a seldom seen opportunity to get into a drivable rust-free Magnum cheap -- and fix up as you go along. Not many 400ci Magnums around, and this one can ultimately be every bit as nice as a new car (for less) or cars pictured above. I was told that my 400 with T-Tops was 1 of 38 built.

If anyone is interested, let me know -- dave@daveschultz.com

For more information on Dodge Magnums (last of the B-Bodies) go to http://www.thecybermuseum.com/magnumclub/ . These cars can be made every bit as fast as other B-Bodies and get more thumbs up than I got with my Super Bee.

Question

Judging by the words, cars, and backgrounds in those pictures, sounds like Big Kahuna has some pretty deep pockets. Must be nice to have a lot of cash to throw around.

Am I jealous of the apparent financial disparity between me and him? Probably.

Resentful? Maybe.

Frustrated because of his apparent success and my relative failures? Yes.

I blame myself for my financial situation, not BK, even though it is other people's fault for not doing things my way in my opinion. At least that's what I think sometimes.
