Default Points are getting too close.

A decent finish for Marlin, but he needs to pick up the pace to stay ahead of Jr. in the points race.

Unhappy

While Marlin continues to be the best running and most consistent Dodge out there, it seems like we have gotten worse in the second half of the season. All the teams thought that the second half would be better after they returned to most tracks for the second time with some notes to work with. Early in the season, we seemed to have 3 sometimes 4 cars in the top ten or fifteen and were waiting for our break to get our first win. Granted, we now have had two wins but it seems more and more that we are lucky to get more than one Dodge running in the top 15 by the last pit stop and the run to the flag. A number of the Dodges went out yesterday by wrecks but some other races have had disapointing results considering the Dodges make up close to 1/4 of the field (9 or 10 qualified out of 43) and only one (usually Marlin) ends up in the top fifteen. The new 2" on the nose has not seemed to have helped much and NASCAR still has not approved the newer lighter engine. Even in the Truck series the Dodges seem to be losing steam as Sprague in his Chevy is now top in the points (although it is still very close with 2 Dodges right behind him).

I thought Bill Elliott or Ward Burton had fast cars and a chance to win yesterday, but both were involved in wrecks. Jeff Gordon was slick, taking out or causing several wrecks himself. He's a great driver, but I hate that guy!
