Hey mopar people.. would a 72 duster with a 318 be available with a 4 speed trans from the factory? if so.. is this rare?

I guess it could be had, I don't know. My old Duster had a 3spd.

The 318/4-speed option is a source of ongoing argument, but I have seen documented cases of them. Yes, it is rare, IF you can document it as original. Dennis

I had a '70 and still have a '75 both with the Hurst 4 speeds from the factory. Yes they are fairly rare. Most were autos. Put a good sset of large valve heads on it and rock.

I'd bet on it. If it was on the options sheet you could get it. I've seen an original 1973 318 Duster with a 4 speed. I'd say about 1 out of every 10000 318 Dusters had a 4spd. Probably about 85% of them had Autos.
