which cam to choose???

[69sunroof]

hey everyone, i need alittle help. Im building a '71 440 hp block for my '69 charger, and im stuck in the camshaft department. It should be a close to stock rebuild, it has flat top pistons, 516 closechamber heads (stock) and M1 intake with a 650 edlebrock carb. Thank you for any info u can provide, i have been told to go with a purple shaft by some people and others are like "no way, it old technolgy, go for a comp cam" so im stuck??

The MP .455/272 works excellent if you arent running headers or use the 474/280 with.I have a friend with a 69 charger with a sunroof also,quite an unusual car,it also has factory cruise,a/c,remote mirror,am 8 track,ps.pdb,at,leather seats,vinyl top,rear window defrost and 383 4 bbl,its F5,blk vinyl top,blk interior,not too many sunroof Chargers made in 69,wasnt it only100 and some? He had to do some repairs on his sunroof so Ill find out thru whom he did it and let you know........PRO....
