who knows - this system could wind up in your RAM down the road.

BOSE has an audio smart system that is going to be available in the Mercedes "C" class - and since Daimler Chrysler is sharing things - this smart radio could be in the RAM of the future.

Bose calls it "Audio Pilot"

Lets say you have the radio on, and you roll down the windows - the radio adjusts to compensate for the additional wind noise.

And not just volume. The Bose digital electronics separates the music from the noise, and it uses a compensation algorithm to modify the signal continuously. The system "listens" to the noise, defines its character, then compensates for its presence by adjusting the specific musical tones affected by the noise.

You can enjoy all the music in your car, all the time – open windows, trucks, rain, and traffic notwithstanding. And you don't need to re-adjust the volume control to do it.
