Default Whipplecharger crate Hemis

Anybody heard anything about these?
I still can't get a price on them so I would assume there aren't many out there yet......

1200HP and 1200ft lbs of torque on 89 pump gas sounds interesting enough to look into, at least....?

The only whipplecharger that I have ever heard of is a twin screw supercharger. I've never heard of a whipplecharger crate engine.

Where did you first hear about it. I wouldn't mind learning more about something this unusual.

Those specs on 89 gas seem to classify it in the "too good to be true" category. Although it if was really true.........on second thought........I think I'll look into it.

Well according to thier shit, its true. Carb'ed or fuel injection, now wouldn't that be one hell of an engine for a project car. Hmmm I wonder if what they say is true, is really true. I can't wait to see a review of this beast somewhere.

I think this engine might be beyond soul selling. I was under the impression that it was necessary to sell your soul for a 'plain old normal' Hemi. And if this is three times as powerful as a normal Hemi that would mean........Well you get the point. I still woud like to know the real price of one of these monsters. Maybe I can go to the boneyard and pick up some easily repaired souls and get some kind of trade going on.

"Quad Rotor Supercharged 604ci engine that delivers over 1200 horsepower and 1200 lbs. of torque with 89-octane. This fuel-injected monster motor is not for the faint of heart, the motor uses special Ross pistons for low compression with the Whipple Quad Rotor twin screw type supercharger, Indy cylinder heads, dual 2100 CFM throttle bodies, dual air mass sensors, low profile Whipple cooler thatÂ’s made of Cupronickel, air bypass system for good fuel economy under vacuum situations and easy idling, complete MSD ignition, Essex electric fuel pump and regulator, custom Dan Olson Racing oil pan, high output alternator, serpentine belt system, Whipple stand alone computer system for all of the needed engine functions and a host of other performance enhancements."

It looks like they are trying to market this for marine applications. With that in mind, I would think that the motor would offer decent reliability. It doesn't take a whole lot of boost when your talking 600 CI. That big stroke does concern me,however, the RPMs this motor would likely see should keep it together. Given the price of the MP 528 hemi, I'd guesstimate (gulp) $25,000-30,000. Hey it's only money.

That's "Kanji" actually. I've thought about trying to find one that says "I'm going to kick your four cylinder ass" But there's not a lot of custom Kanji sticker work out there.

I have some friends who are literate in Japanese, I could probably get them to write me something like that, and then scan it for y'all. I don't know if it would be actual Kanji or not, there are 3 writing styles that also include Katakana and Hirigana. Not that it really matters, right?

Whoa, if you could really get some chinese writing that would say "I'm going to kick your four cylinder ass" or something to that effect, it would be a good day for Muscle Car owners everywhere. I guess that would finally be an exclusive sticker for V8s unlike the K&N, FlowMaster, etc. stickers I see the ricers now have thier hands on. If you actually get a scan of something like that be sure to post it here or e-mail it to me.

Here is the reply that i just got from whipple

"We have got one available, the marine 604 intercooled, quad rotor, carb
version. It is going for $45,000.00. Right now I have enough parts to
complete one engine. We should have more info on the other engine combo's
around the first of the year. Sorry for the delay. There coming, it is just
taking a little time to get them finished.
We do appreciate your interest in our product,
Andy"

Oh my god, $45k?? That is a hell of a lot of money. I wonder if you can just get a whipple charger for a Mopar engine without getting the whole crate motor.
