I am going to rebuild the 383 that came in my 71 charger this winter. I am concidering buying a set of complete 906 heads with hardened seats. Has anyone dealt with this company? How is their quality? The builder is looking at getting 9 to 9.5 comp. I am also looking at either the stock magnum cam or the 474 purple shaft. The car is going to be a daily driver with Auto and 323 gears. Thanks for any assistance. Larry

Larry'I have a set of aerohead 452 cadting heads with the bowl porting upgrade on my motor.I think there stuff is pretty good, especially for the money. As far as spending the extra $100.00 on the 906's or 452's'I wouldnt. All the later castings 452's etc. have the same port size and shape. The reason alot of guys favor the 452's over the 906's is that when you add bigger valves and a bowl port, the 452's will outflow a 906 with the same mods.I had a .474 in my 383,it was a driver with 3.23's and an auto and I was real happy with the way it ran, sounded good too.

Thumbs up

I used aerohead 452 heads on my 413 ,with bowl porting , not only for the hardened seats but also supposedly the port floors are flatter ,i noticed a big difference on the exhaust ports,i also used the magnum cam,but i am pulling 2.79 gears,in a c-body.
