Thumbs up

You have a weird way of typin!!!!Anyhow...The 727 has the exact same linkage..No woriies there, however you will need to find a shorter driveshft or have yours shortened at a driveline shop.If the 904 is still good I suggest using the 904 behind the 360,you will have to weld weights beside the drainplug on the 904 convertor though since a 360 is externally balanced...As far as shift kit..A shift kit WILL NOT HELP AN AILING TRANNY...But if yer tranny is in good shape go for it!Also try to go easy on the line pressure adjustment on the street as the higher you set it the harder the pump works and saps power....Hope that helped???

The TransGO Kits work really well. They do take some adjusting to get the right throttle pressure set. Once right, really quick, firm, full throttle automatic upshifts. If you have a 727, go for it. It's about as trouble free as you can get. I've had a new 904 on the shelf for 10 years now. Can't seem to talk myself out of the original 727 out of the 69 Dart. This thing has around 5,000 passes on it, no bull. ALways look @500 passes, expect to see wear, never do, replace all bushings, discs, bands and gaskets and go run 10.s' for another 500.

I couldn't be happier with my 727, It's a TCI Street Fighter. I believe you can buy just the valvebody kit from TCI, will lay rubber 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift knocked my rearview mirror off.

Just make sure the 727 has the mounting ears on the tailshaft for the floor shift bracket. I've seen some without them. Dennis

My 2 cents-A shift kit won't do much for you if your tranny is already junk. However, if it's not (and it's got AT LEAST 30k miles), then go ahead and put a shift kit in it, becuase the theory is that between each gear shift in any automatic, especially as they get a lot of miles on it, the tranny will slip a little bit. With a shift kit, it will shift quicker and harder, which will avoid most of that slipping. That can actually prolong transmission life a little.

P.S.-Fix your space bar
