Don't forget to check out Alabama. I have an Alabama in my '70 dart (360, 904, 3.55's) and it works well. It stalls at 2500 and only cost $179. PRO has used these converters as well and has never had a problem.

I run a PTC 9" converter and I LOVE it. The best damn converter that I've come across. KOS racers run them as do some other racers.

I've been running an SMR converter for 4 years now. It's a 3000 stall and I get 22-2400 stall out of it with my Big Block. I've probably put 5000 miles on it in street duty. Not one problem.

I get 1.85 60 ft times at 12.97@106 in a 3700 lb Aspen.

Go for it...great converter.

I was about to buy the 3000 Stall to go behind a 440 with a 509 cam 3.55 gears. Is your behind the 400.

Should mine stall a little higher than 2200-2400? say 2800-3000?

Hoosiermopar:

I have a '65 727 with the 19 spline and just ordered a converter for it from Continental Converters in Inglewood, CA. Heard good things about the place. The converter is being custom made for my specs, cost about $250. Talk to Chris only if you call, some of the other guys there aren't too trust worthy. Good luck!
