Vacuum rule
I run a 78 cordoba in a pure stock class, with a 318 small block. With automatic 904, 242 gear, on a 3/8 dirt oval with banking. My husband has built a motor with 10-1 flat tops, I must pass a 16 inch vaccum rule. Was wondering what cam to use. Can not use roads lifter's, must be stock. Can run single line holey or thermo quad with stock madifolds. Have had great success with cordoba, last year with 17 wins, with 7 feature wins. There are only 3 mopar's, and we need all the help we can get to beat those ford's and chevy's. I have had to set out for the 2001 season, due to pregancy. The class has came around to be very competive, with a chevy winning the championship. I want to put my mopar back up on top. So any help on what cam to use, I need. Thanks. Lynda Pure Stock #00

Make your own "Rhoads" lifters. Rhoads has a bleed-down grove. I'm not sure on the dimensions of the grove, but I'd think it would be doable.

There is a website that has patent information on the Rhoads lifters (I'm not sure what that address is but I have actually been at the site). The information is the actual patent application, and that include the dimensions and location of the bleed down groove. It might take some research, but that would probably give you the info you need to modify your own lifters.
