I'm trying to locate a set of 10 bolts/ studs that hold the centersection to the 8 3/4" rear housing. I broke two removing the center for a gear swap. Any ideas?

I'd probably call a Mopar Dealership and see if they can get them. I would also try a Bolt and Nut Supply business.

ejsay:
If you are not concerned about having "exact" replacements, you could try using the housing end studs that are used to hold the brake backing plates on. As I recall, they are the same diameter and length, but the knurl is a little different (one is coarser than the other as I recall) and one side of the small flange on the end is machined off on the housing end stud so that it fits against the axle tube. I'm quite sure those housing end studs are still available either from Mopar or a place such as Strange Eng'g. or Mark Williams or maybe Hensley Racing in Knoxville, TN. Another thing that might work is a carrier stud from a Ford 9" axle. I know that those are available. You might ask the suppliers above if they know if they are the same size, etc. as the Mopar 8 3/4" studs. |
