Are all the brands of intake gaskets the same size port opening? I was wondering if I could order a cheep set to do my porting gasket match & throw them out for the better quality that I would use for install?

I'm a freek when it comes to gaskets so I ask because I wouldn't take my gasket out of the package untill it was time for install. If I use one for a porting templet it will be out of the package for quite some time & open to damage.
