Default 408 Stroker or a BDS 8-71 Blower??

Hey everyone,
Which would you suggest on a 360 for my 1974 Challenger?? Looks like the Stroker kit will run me around $1700 from Hughes wheras for $2700 I can get the entire blower kit including intake etc and have the whole street rod look. Which would you guys run.
I have a slapstick 727 that I would like to be a street bruiser with stump pulling torque and high 11/ Low 12 second capability.
Thanks.

I guess it depends on if you want a hole in your hood or not, I would love to build a blown 340 or 360. Who sells the blower kit for $2700? Does it come with everything to bolt right on to a small block mopar? Did they give any horsepower estimates, 550+ would be awesome!!!
I would recommend getting a cam designed for the blower and o-ring the block and heads to keep from blowing gaskets.

SCAMP,
http:www.blowerdriveservice.com.
Actually, it's $2900.00 but that's everything you'd need. Bolt it on and go!!...

I just watched Horsepower TV this morning (rerun) and they built a 426 small block with Indy heads, 610 solid cam and dominator carb and made over 650 horsepower!

That BDS website is cool too!

I'm doin' the 416 (340) stroker thing with the 6-71 BDS blower. I went through Good Vibration Motorsports to get the BDS setup. GVM are great people to work with. They were cheaper than going direct through BDS. My total came to around $4300.00 though. I bought new Holley 600's and had BDS (through GVM) blueprint them for the blower, cam, pistons, etc. I also had everything polished and included the linkage kit and scoop / air filters. Check out this page on my site for more details. I've got GVM and BDS links in my site also under "Favorite Links".

Good luck!
