New Tire time!
I have a 2000 Neon LX (yes, the Plymouth badging). Her OEM tires are P185/65R15's (yes, I run the 15" stock rims that came with her).
Here is my confusion. Goodyear's website recomends 185/65R15's, like what the OEM tires are. All good and fine and no confusion. Michelin recomends 195/65R15's and say that I wouldn't need new rims to handle them. Anyone know if that is correct? Oh yeah, if y'all have a suggestion about which tire company or specific brands of tire that I should go for, I'm all ears. This is my first new car and first time to need replacement tires on my own dime. |

Theres only a 10mm difference there. Nothing to worry about. Also since the "65" is the ratio for height to width, the diff in height is 6.5 mm's.

Is my guess correct in that that will screw up the odometer and spedometer a bit? Hmmm... So a 205/55R15 would be of the same height as that 185/65R15? Man, I knew that I didn't know much about cars, but sheesh! I didn't know that I didn't know this much... |

6.5 MM's is about a 1/4". Not a lot of difference. the 10 MM width is a little more than 3/8". You should post this question in the front wheel drive section and see if anyone has a different tire size that works good. Just a thought.
