Have 275/60/15 Drag Radials on a '67 B-body, 3750 lbs. w/driver, 440, automatic, SS springs, drag shocks front and rear, sub-frame connectors, pinion snubber, 4.10. Anticipated times in the 12.0 - 12.2 range. Anybody have any recommendations on tire pressure, burnout technique, and launch rpm? Thanks a bunch!

Hi there....i run the same tires on my 70 Cuda...weight is 3900# with driver...SS springs/snubber....i run 12.30 with this setup, no tire spin at all....all i do is slightly wet the tires, then mash the gas....no brakes...just spin em a little....then go.I run 13 psi in mine, although ppl will say that is way low for radial, works good for me.... I am installing a line lock to heat them better when i get my converter, they may slip...expecting big changes with the new converter...

According to a test in Car Craft with a 3700 lb Chevelle that runs 13s: 18psi, mild burnout, 2500rpm launch off foot brake at 3/4 throttle. They caution against long burnout as it will ball up the rubber and make the tire slippery. Hope this is of some help to you. I run Hoosiers so have no actual experience with the BFG.
